History

I am Richard Palmer sole owner and operator of Palmskirts Entertainment. My love and passion for music has been with me for as long as I can remember. Palmskirts Entertainment was born on 12 April 2024. How it started is, I had a couple of friends that recognized my love for karaoke and music. They said, “since you love it so much why not start your own business”. So I did. The name “Palmskirts” originated from a high school classmate who split my last name “Palmer” and started calling me Palmskirts. Initially this nickname was derogatory with a connotation of palming girls skirts. So, I embraced the nickname created a logo of a palm tree with a grass skirt wrapped around it. Then themed my events in a tropical vibe. We live in a climate that can be very gloomy. So I felt that through my business I could bring sunshine to all who attend my shows.

We deliver high-energy karaoke and DJ experiences that bring people together. Our mission is to create fun, memorable moments through exceptional music, engaging hosts, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Commitment To Excellence

I research the competition and technologies to continuously keep my equipment updated and make improvements. This is in the form of; Software, more lighting and a high-end sound system. I incorporate multiple monitors so everyone at the event can see either karaoke lyrics, animated visual arts, slide shows or music videos. For special events such as weddings, we meet with clients and go over the details to ensure their special day is created as they visualize it to be.
